HIPAA has
specifications to communicate electronically with insurance companies
for a number of transactions. InfoCare has implemented these
transactions for direct EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) with
Medicare, Blue Shield, Medical Assistance and a number of clearing
houses for commercial insurance companies across all over the country.
InfoCare creates
separate
files for each entity that accepts claims directly and
you submit
claims to them directly. This way, you are in control and you
communicate directly with the entity to whom you are submitting claims.
You also receive your submission
analysis reports directly from the entity to whom you are
submitting claims
to.
InfoCare allows you to do
auto-posting based on an electronic remittance file that you receive.
This file is like a paper EOB and gives you all payments, adjustments,
denials, etc. InfoCare evaluates this electronic file and posts
payments, etc. accurately and in no time at all.
You receive
this remittance file directly
from the entity to whom you are submitting electronic claims.
Additional electronic
transactions that InfoCare also provides are patient eligibility for
those insurance companies that have implemented these transactions.
Please click EMDEON
for a list of
commercial companies for EDI submission via EMDEON.
